Vermont Furniture at the Bennington Museum.
The Bennington Museum is the place to go for viewing antique Vermont furniture. The museum holds a beautiful tall case musical clock by the hand of Nichols Goddard, as well as other examples of the work of American clockmakers, and a desk-bookcase with a globe once owned by James Wilson, America’s first maker of globes.
A great resource on Vermont history.

I am in the process of researching a mahogany tilt-top tea table with a label on the underside that reads: “Bennington Vermont”. Would you perhaps know if there is or was a furniture industry or furniture maker in the area of Bennington that would apply such a label?
Thank you!
