Sitcom Style, a book by Diana Friedman, looks at the styles of decor to be found in our favourite tv shows and how they influence popular modes of home decorating.

Sitcom Decor

From the nostalgia inducing days of “I Love Lucy”, “I Dream of Jeannie”, and “The Addams Family” to the full horror of the seventies in the form of “Happy Days”, among others, to eighties favourites such as “The Cosby Show” and “Roseane”, right up to the sitcoms of recent times, Sitcom Style takes a backstage look at the sets of shows that permeate our modern ideas of home interior decor.

Taking the view that the decor types to be found on sitcom sets are designed to reinforce the natures of the characters in the shows Sitcom Style explores how to develop your own personal style of home decoration using the oldies and goodies of television as examples.
