An exhibition of King Tut furniture.

The Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is holding an exhibition of the artefacts associated with the reign of King Tut including some of the Egyptian furniture found in his tomb. The King Tut - Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs exhibition is currently taking place in Fort Lauderdale but will move to The Field Museum, Chicago: May 2006 and then the The Franklin Institute, Philadelphia, January 2007.

The exhibition is divided into a series of atmospheric rooms and galleries. “The faces of Tutankhamun”, which includes the latest image of the King Tut amid a collage of sculpted images and gold masks, statues, gold coffinettes, furniture and everyday items such as perfume jars and ornamental boxes is displayed in clear plastic cases and on pedestals.
