In Michigan the 2005 Classic Holiday Home Tour is underway allowing one to look inside the homes of interesting houses. The tour features eight homes in the Tri-Cities area of Michigan, including four downtown Grand Haven condominiums. Spring Lake Village Hall, the Khardomah Lodge and the Tri-Cities Historical Museum’s Akeley Building also are on the tour.
Gain ideas for decorating by peeking inside some hand-picked homes, some of them in midcentury modern retro style. One features a floating staircase, in Brady Bunch style, as well as an indoor swimming pool. The house generally is full of interior colors, such as greens, yellows, peach, light blue and chartreuse.
Tickets for the Dec. 3-4 tour are $12 and are available at the museum and at all tour locations. The homes will be open 1-6 p.m. Dec. 3 and 1-5 p.m. Dec. 4.
