A Federal era American card table, how to make a replica.
Fine Woodworking magazine’s issue for November and December of 2005 features a woodworking plan likely to be of interest to Furniture Styles readers, a Federal era “Card Table”, what is really a console or wall table.
Made of mahogany wood, and in the style known as “demilune”, with a curved apron veneered in poplar, and with gate legs, the table is said to be based on a Balitmore model.

Can you tell me where I can buy one of these console tables with a flip and swivel top? What is the approximate cost of one? I saw one at Sam’s one time. Thank you.
